Bank of Russia extends temporary SME lending facility

On 24 January 2022, the Bank of Russia resumes the issuance of loans under the temporary facility to support lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in industries the hardest hit by additional anti-pandemic measures.

This decision will allow credit institutions covered by this facility to satisfy SME applications for preferential loans that were not processed at the end of 2021 due to the high work load at that time. Moreover, this measure will serve as an additional support for SMEs should the epidemic situation deteriorate further.

The Bank of Russia is going to issue loans under this facility through 31 March 2022.
