BRICS central banks and ministries of finance discuss interim financial track results
The Bank of Russia’s delegation took part in the second meeting of BRICS deputy finance ministers and central bank governors that took place in Washington, D.C.
The meeting participants discussed the interim results of the implementation of priorities of the Brazilian presidency and the results expected to be achieved before the BRICS leaders’ summit in July 2025. The countries highlighted the progress made by now and considered practical steps to enhance the role of the organisation in the global financial system.
In her speech, Gulnara Khaidarshina, Director of the Department for Cooperation with International Organisations of the Bank of Russia, highly praised the Brazilian presidency in BRICS for ensuring the continuity of the financial track agenda and welcomed the smooth integration of Bank Indonesia.
Representatives of all BRICS states took part in the event, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, the UAE, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.
